AFP photographer Massoud Hossaini, 30, won the prestigious US journalism prize for his “heartbreaking image of a girl crying in fear after a suicide bomber's attack at a crowded shrine in Kabul,” the Pulitzer committee said.

What are your opinions on the photograph, I find it to be incredible. It really drives home what is happening in this war we in the West have found ourselves committed to. Tarana Akbari, the girl in green, is a human face one can identify with in the conflict and still has the shrapnel wounds from the attack that killed seventy others.

From a technical standpoint, the green just works so well to highlight her amid the horror and her dress is kind of unwittingly reminicent of a depiction of the biblical Mary from Renaissance and earlier European art.

My 500px. (external link) I like action (external link) and volcanoes. (external link) Dragons (external link) and temples (external link) are fine, too!
I don't think the Earth revolves around me. It revolves around the Sun, which shines out of my ass.
