Does it make any difference to video if the camera is set to RAW or JPEG, as you don't use DPP to edit it I presume it shoots in some sort of jpeg or am I just confused and bewildered.

Jpeg and RAW have nothing to do with your camera's video function. The output is created as Apple Quicktime .MOV files. There are separate menus for the video. Mark
