I was wondering if anyone has taken their lens onto Canon for repair of this issue effecting some of the 15-85's ??
Outcome and info on what they did would be much appreciated.

Is yours still under warranty? Yeah, it's been noted that in a lot of reviews that the 15-85 has some creep. I'm not sure what they can do to tighten it up. Patrick Choi

It doesn't happen if fully retracted or extended, and I normally carry it retracted. It also doesn't affect my shooting when it does happen because I compose each shot individually, so if it has creeped from 35 to 50 and isn't wide enough it doesn't matter because I would have changed the zoom anyway even if it had stayed at 35mm. 5D3 | Rokinon 14 f/2.8 | 16-35L II | TS-E 24L | Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 | Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 | Voigtlander 40 f/2.0 | Σ 50 f/1.4 | MP-E 65 | 70-200 2.8L IS II | Σ 85 f/1.4 | Zeiss 100 f/2 | Σ 120-300 f/2.8 OS | 580 EX II | 430 EX II | Fuji X10 | OM-D E-M5 | http://www.mikehjphoto.com/

msowsun "approx 8mm" More info | Apr 19, 2012 12:16 | #5 The only time I notice it is when I try to photograph or copy something with the camera pointed straight down. It is a bit of a pain but you just have to hang onto the zoom ring to keep it in one place. Apr 19, 2012 17:14 | #6 Thanks everyone, maybe I'll live with, as, aside from this, it's a very sweet piece of glass. There's a Lens Creep Band that's cheap and is suppose to hold it in place Mike and might work great for those critical shots.
