This is the first review I've seen about the new Sigma 50-150 OS.... if you really want to call it a review.......

The MTF on this lens is quite good, but I'm really waiting to see some good tests to see if this lens is as good as Sigma touts.

Since 50-150 would be a really good range for my 550d, I'm interested in this lens... Though at the same time with the 5dmk2 coming down in price, I have not made up my mind yet on which way to go.

Any thoughts?

He's such a knob. Doesn't give any specifics on IQ or anything. He cares more how it feels on the camera... or smells, than IQ. No close-ups, or specs.. other than fl and aperture.

Isn't it the funniest? Wow --

He does however have sample pictures to view. From what I've seen I"m not crazy about the bokeh.

He's more about making "fun" content. Plenty other sites do lab tests with charts and microscopes.

With the smell test and his take on the placement of zoom and focus rings aside, this is pretty poor as a review (if you even can call it that). The only things he really touches on are size, weight, and focal length, all of which can already found on the lens's spec page. Definitely more of an overview than anything.
