Samyang 35mm f/1.4
Canon 85mm f/1.8

Those are for sure up there. Then I would have to go with either:
Tamron 17-50 or 70-200 f/4 IS.

Crop:
Sigma 30
Tamron 17-50
Then tie at Tokina 11-16/Canon 70-200 f/4, depending on your shooting style.

I don't have ff experience -_-

All been mentioned, but mine would have to be 18-55 IS, 55-250 IS and probably the 85/1.8.

My top bang/buck lens currently would have to be the Sigma 30/2.8 in NEX mount. Absolute bargain.

18-55mm
55-250mm
50mm 1.8 - if this is excluded, I would go with the 85mm 1.8

I would add the Tamron 17-50 non-VC, but at its current selling price of $474 AR new it's not such a bang for the buck anymore (although still the cheapest 2.8 zoom option).

For me it would be 3 primes-
1. 50 mm 1.8. (this was my first 50 like many people and still think it was an outstanding value looking back)
2. 135 2.0. If you can use the focal length, the lens is worth every penny of the price imho.
3. 85 1.8 if on a budget, 35L if you have the extra cash.

My Gear: CANON 5D III- 16-35 f2.8L, 50L f1.2, 85L f1.2, 135L f2.0, 70-200f2.8 II, Sekonic L758, Elinchrom D-Lite 4 setup and etc...
