I will show you some of my people shots from a holiday previous year.
They are all shot with my old 1000D with a Tokina 11-16 or Canon 50mm. F1.8.

I just found those pictures on my flickr acount with just 20 views. But I like them. I have got much better gear right now, but I would love to give some atention for those (cheap 1000D) shots.

They where edited with Lightroom 3.0.

I would love to hear some critics! Enjoy!

By middle America do you mean Central America? Even w/o geotags I would find it hard to believe these were taken in the USA. I find the first batch compelling enough without the vignetting and color processing. The first batch is also better than the second, IMHO.
