hi. anyone using an iphone or android app for hyperfocal distance calculations that you can recommend? free or paid doesn't matter. i carry a printed chart from dofmaster.com but having an app that has the ability to enter your camera and lens info could be useful. thanks.

Hey,
I actually was looking for one myself, and decided to write one from scratch for iPhone.
It is based on everything from dofmaster.com.
I'm working on it only when time permits, so will probably take few more weeks before I finish it.
I will let you know when I'm done.
For now here is the screenshot of how I see it :)

I have Photo tools which you can get here:

https://play.google.com ….android.phototools&hl=en (external link)

The free version is Ad supported. It has what you want and much more. I have only recently downloaded it and have not had a chance to really work with it yet.

Jeff

Magic Lantern lets your camera display it (Re: Smartphone hyperfocal calculator apps)

If you have a supported EOS body (e.g. 5DMk2, 60D, etc.) and supported lens, Magic Lantern (external link) lets your camera display hyperfocal calculations.

There is a long-running POTN thread (over 300 posts) on Magic Lantern HERE.
