Man, the 7D is loud when the mirror flips up. As a matter of fact, all of the cameras I tried last year (including new and used ranging from the Rebels up to a 5D Mark II) are just plum loud. 10D is whisper quiet compared to the 7D. And, it is not just limited to the Canons. Did I miss something? What gives? I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy it!!

I have kept a 10D and 40D just because they are quiet. These are for use in church dedications (not weddings) on tripods fired remotely. Steve
