Simply impressive on how bad it was. Did this person just pick up a DSLR and hang a shingle as a "photographer"? Methinks that the couple should have gotten some references or look at the portfolio before blindly signing on.

Believe me, I've seen equal, if not slightly worse in the area I live. And these "pros" get work constantly. Not to mention, the "photographer" is usually a DJ, a caterer, and a waiter all at the same time. Makes me sad :(

Couldn't have. A P&S on Auto would have done a better job than that.

Thats just horrible. Even I have taken better shots than that as a guest.

Its a shame the company has gone bust but not suprising. They should have been forced to refund the full amount and provide a re-shoot with different photographers. One has to wonder what porfolio the couple viewed as the basis to hire these people.

I guess the old adage of "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.

The couple should have done their homework to check the photographers out before hand (including checking portfolios, getting feedback from previous customers etc.).

They clearly have no idea about lighting, focussing, shutter speed selection etc.

I have heard of a number of unscrupulous wedding photographers getting sample wedding albums from printers and passing them off as their own work.

Yes, there have been at least two other threads about this.

Wow that's pretty bad! I feel for the couple but didn't they look into who they were hiring?

When the couple gets a divorce, they can blame it on the photos. There is obviously a direct correlation to marriage longevity and how great the photos were! :)

That is too bad, but I think the longer the couple remains married, the less of an issue all of this will be, and they might actually laugh about it later in life.

Then both parties sue the photographer for even more damages? :p
