not posted any pics for a while, i got more involved with my other hobby for a while and have since began taking more pics, here are two from the last week or so that im happy with although i cant manage to tone down the light spot using lightroom on the stem of the bluebell in the background, C&C's always very welcome, thanks for looking

I'm prefer #1, very interesting stamen...looks almost radioactive.
#2 could use more space on the left hand side and the focus feels a little off. The first of the petals aren't in focus but rather just behind. Might stop the aperture down for more DOF. I would also take the photo from a different angle so that the bokeh of the left hand flower would stand out more and not be occluded by the in foreground flower. I would also orient to get an all green background without the black at the top of the image. Having said that I like the bokeh of the right hand flower and the OOF leaves have nice lines.

sound advice mr. white....i'll be sure to follow it in the future, the setting i used were f9, 1/100, iso 100 at 40mm........the natural light wasnt too great so i powered the flash maybe i should have upped the iso, i did a little cropping to the left as it was a little messy, i know what you mean about shooting from a different angle to include the laft hand background flower, the trouble with me is i need to pay more attention to detail, once again mate cheers
