Sorry everyone I have been rather busy, and away, so not much time for forums etc. I also desperately needed to get some shooting time in to de-stress. I went back to my local waterway, as a friend had told me she had shot an egret fishing there in the avo. So fri avo I got some great egret and heron shots, (post soon), but I went again yesterday, and tried a different angle, and lo and behold, a pelican came in this time. I could not believe my luck, and i am absolutely stoked how these turned out. My best pelican shots by a mile. I had to share before I race out the door again!

I have more coming, but it will have to wait, another busy day.

Tina

i relate with needing to just get out, shoot and destress. However I have a little family here and a wife that has a new day job. I'm a stay at home dad and run my photography business. I'm jealous of your expedition. :P I NEED..... to unwind.

Nice warmth from the lowered sunset. I always love the look of shallow DOF when shooting directly above water edge. Always looks stellar no matter what the subject matter. That and I'm a sucker for bird shots. :P

Great photos, Tina. Exposure on the white is top notch, compositions are great and shooting lower has really resulted in great perspectives (were you kneeling or laying down?). Love them.

These are some beauties Tina. Love the light, low angle, bg and the detail in the whites is really nice. I'm trying to decide whether it's cheaper to buy the 800mm or just move to Florida. Excellent work.

These are really beautiful, Tina. Lovely light, great low angle, lots of detail and then some nice poses. Great!
