Go Back to Your Woods.

So I did return to the woods to shoot some woods racing, which I used to do myself some 20 plus years ago. An overnight rain made for some slippery conditions in places, but knocked the dust down on the rest of the course. Slippery tree roots, followed by slippery soil, can cause one to take a soil sample and the section before the first gas stop set a number of racers onto mother earth more then a few times.

1st time I shot any action since the middle of last September and first time using a DSLR since Dec 31st. I wish I had spent some time scouting out locations beforehand, as opposed to a few minutes before the 1st racer was due to arrive. I'm sure I missed some great spots.

Maybe next year....
