Ghetto Juice Airshow @ 56th St. Newport Beach, Ca.

Met up with fellow POTN AirButchie and shot this morning event featuring local surfers competing in aerial punts & snappy cutbacks. Weather condition is terrible as dense fog and drizzle blanketed the coast.

very good, excellent in those conditions, really like 4 and 6

Great shots, #2 looks like quite a launch, they got some decent air off those waves.

As usual, it was great hanging out and shooting the event with you, Pat... The 1D2 sure sounded nice in your hands... hehehehehehhehe... And great set you've posted... I know you have more to come... I'll create a thread, too, and post my captures...

My oh my...I can still hear your ID3 and mine sounding off like machine gun. The best is when we're in sync it's just like music to my hear. The 40D can shoot but dang the 1D2/3 combo it's like gun's blazing hehehe..I had fun shooting with you and will wait for your pics as well.

FWIW, from a total non-surfer perspective (well, they do surf Lake Michigan, but it doesn't look like this. ) On some shots, I can't tell if they are nailing a trick or just falling off. Others look graceful. Great captures, no doubt, just sharing my view.
