I am back with few more questions.
If you use 16 - 35mm 2.8 or 24-70mm 2.8 and you are forced to shoot wide open indoors what shutter speed would be the best along with a speedlite? Also since it is wide aperture aren't pictures gonna be more soft then sharp? Going through wedding pictures there are soo many taken at 1/60 indoors and look great. I believe it needs a high ISO, but what if I want to balance ambient with flash and also don't want grain in my pictures?
- My shutter speed with bounce flash is usually around 1/50 or 1/80.
- Most decent 2.8 lenses are sharp even at 2.8 (in the centre) and at 2.8 i doubt you are worried about the corner sharpness anyway.
- ISO depends on the camera, i think most 5DII owners use even upto 3200 ISO for wedding shots (while most say maximum of 2000 is good)..
- lastly, from the events i've shot, even with my beginner gear, I tend to bounce flash in ambient lighting at about 800-1600ISO and 1/50 or 1/80 shutter speed with f/2.8 - f/4.0 most of the time, any WB or under/over exposure problems can be fixed in LR, especially when you shoot Raw.
