Going from Slingshot 102AW to Flipside 300 or bigger Slingshot?

I just bought a 70-200 F4L and the only way it'll fit into my tiny Slingshot 102AW is if I put the camera in there with no lens attached. Even then, I don't have room to carry all my lenses (3 of 'em but the 70-200 is my only large one) and my flash.

I'd also like another inch of depth on the bag since my 102AW has a little trouble closing since my T2i is gripped.

Would you guys recommend the Slingshot 202AW or maybe the Flipside 300? The Flipside 300 looks about $8 cheaper on B&H. Thanks!

I have both the Singshot 200AW and the Flipside 300. If you plan on carrying a lot of gear then go with the Flipside. The Slingshot can get uncomfortable after a couple of hours if you load up the bag as the weight is on one shoulder. While it is def easier to get at your camera with a slingshot the Flipside is more comfortable to wear and can hold a decent amount of gear.

Thanks. I wish the Flipside had the AW cover...I was shooting on Sunday night and had to walk from my car in a torrential downpour and used the AW cover. I was digging the one strap with the small 102AW, but I think two straps would be more prudent when carrying more gear.

I bought a rain cover for the flipside off ebay for about $12. A 35L one fits perfectly. I'm now waiting on a Crumpler 7MDH to show up.

I am looking at moving up to the Flipside 400. My 300 is in perfect condition. I am willing to swing a deal if you are interested.

Thanks. Being extremely impatient, I pulled the trigger on a Flipside 300. When I got it, I thought it was huge on the outside (at least compared to my Slingshot 102AW). But after loading it, I'm not sure if I should've got the 400. I have a gear-buying problem.

I recently came back from a long trip to Japan. I carried my 5D II, 70-200, 35L, 580EX and Macbook in a ThinkTank Retrospective 30 (messenger style bag), every day for nearly 4 weeks.

My shoulder(s) are still in pain, and I've sworn to never again carry this much weight on only one shoulder!

Now I have the Flipside 300. I regret that I did not buy this bag sooner. Very comfortable bag!

Oooo Flipside 500 now available ( at least I think it is new)... I might have to go with one of these.
