The Joy Formidable @ The Paradise (Boston)

i forgot to post these, and CosmoKid's thread reminded me...still going through the massive load of photos I took at Roadburn last week and it's got my head caved in...anyway, this was a great show from a band that last year i correctly predicted would be soon headed on to bigger and better things. here's my review

Assuming you had the whole set to shoot since you had no pit? Was their lighting super blue for you as well?

thanks Joe. yeah, no photo pit so i could shoot the whole show, but had no mobility in the sold out room. got there very early to grab a spot at the rail in front of Rhydian so i had a good angle on Ritzy. but, nothing on Matt until i worked my way around the room and got behind the side security barrier (after one guy giving me total sh1t for doing so...wankers!) and finally got a good drummer shot at the last song.

the lighting was predominantly blue; they brought in their own lighting rig which pretty much never happens for The Paradise.
