sent my 150-500OS into sigma last week. it's gone from one center to NY now...i called to see what is up with it, and how long it will be. And they're telling me they see nothing wrong with it. The OS unit was going haywire when i sent it in, and it's definitely messed up. I tried to say that if there was nothing wrong with it why would the AZ center say it had to go there to be fixed, to which i got no comment back. They said they are going to test it some more over the next few days, and if they find nothing send it back. There's no way I want this lens back without something being fixed, as it'll do it again i'm sure. So what do you do, just ****, and moan until they spend more than 5 min on it and fix it, or what? I'm usually more of a laid back person, but i think i'm going to have to pump myself up before these phone calls....

this is more of a rant than anything, i guess....:D

Perhaps there is a communication problem between your 40D and the 150-500?

yeah i didn't test that, but if they send it back to me, i'll strap it onto a couple other bodies...the way that it was shaking so erratically though i don't see how it could be anything but the OS on the lens though...hopefully they discover the problem, and then i have nothing to worry about

be calm yet firm when you talk to them. losing it is a sure way to get your lens back without anything being done.
