Earlier last week I found a fox den while photographing an old dilapidated barn. Ive been back quite a few times since then and gotten some of my favorite photographs. Their den is near a dirt road that T's with a main road so they are used to seeing cars go by. This is lucky for me because I am able to park off the dirt road and use my car as a blind. That way I don't disturb the fox kits and I get to see their natural behaviors... lots of sleeping, play fighting, scratching, grooming, attacking bugs, etc. I really enjoy being there and watching their antics. I have over 40 photographs on my site so far but here are 8 to get your cute fix.

5.) One of the first photographs I got of the foxes. You can see a bit of the old run down barn in the background.

Lucky you for the find, Kate! And great shots of the little ones. Post more as you have them, it's nice to see interaction shots between Mom and young if you can get any. Of these, I like #5 the best :)

Thank you! I dont have any good shots with mom yet, she only seems to be around in the very early morning. Its been cloudy and rainy all weekend into the week. If the weather holds out on Friday Im going to go to the den again and see if they are still there when the light is good. I almost went today but its borderline with how overcast it is.

Here are a few more from earlier this week...

Thank you very much! I am likely going to get 1 and 2 printed up big. The light that day was just perfect and it really made all the difference, as it always does. I feel very lucky.

Thank you again everyone for your kind words. It is very uplifting and I appreciate it!

Here are a few more to satisfy the need for cute! :D

13.) This is from yesterday. I went late afternoon but the light was terrible due to overcast skies. Youd never know that this was taken during the golden hour.

Excellent captures. The Red fox is a favorite animal to me, they are still cute when full grown.

I went back today, got a few snapshots but nothing really good. It was very windy and it made the foxes shy and wary of every bush wafting in the breeze. Here are shots from earlier in the week though. Ill try to get more!
