The G-1 'we' inherited seems absolutely perfect for us, as we travel a lot on my motorcycle. The camera easily fits in my fairing. With lower resolution and a decent memory, hold LOTS of pictures. With a mini-tripod to set the thing on a rock or log, and using the swivelling LCD and little Remote Control, we can take our own pictures with Mount Smiley-Face in the background, etc....

Since it fits OUR lives so much better than the SLR outfit, I would not be surprized to find 'she' wants her own.

Question: Do the higher numbered G Series cameras have the Remote Control capability?

I know I could study the Canon website, but I really would like to have any OTHER useful comments from you Voices of Experience...

And I think that finishes my inquiries...

Per DPReview, all G-series cameras come with remotes.

Thanks... Say, I don't see anything that looks like a 'review' section on this Web-Site....[from a quick check].

Can you give me a link to that DPReview ??
