I recently downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 6.6 (for Mac OS X10.7) in order to convert Canon's proprietary CR2 files from my Canon 60D camera so that I can use Adobe Bridge (CS4) & ACR (v5.7).

When I attempted to convert a folder containing 43 CR2 images, the DNG Converter would "hang up" after about 10 images were converted. This required a "force quit".

Thank you kindly for help help or suggestions.

Have you checked into the Adobe DNG forum?

Tony,

Indeed I did; but with no response yet. I thought that there might be other 60D owners who have experienced the same issue.

Thank you.

Hmm, I haven't heard of anything specific to 60D files, so it sounds like it's likely more of a software "glitch", but who knows about such things?

Maybe try again, either with the same batch or another batch, or have you already done that with the same results?

Indeed, I tried it more than once (& with anywhere from 5 to 43 files). Same result. If I don't get any thoughts or suggestions, I might try downloading version 6.5 or the recent partially-released 6.7.

Thanks, Tony.

I prefer not to shoot blindly. But in the absence of a clear solution, I'll keep pulling the trigger until (a) the problem is resolved or (2) I run out of ammo.
