I doubt anyone really paid over $2,000. The winning bidder even has 0 feedbacks and was just launched so it most likely is a scammer. (or even the buyer themselves on another account if they didn't want to sell the camera in the end?).

Wish I could contact those bidders - I have a few items I would offer them at a very nice price.

The worst part of this is there were at least three people that were willing to overpay.

All three bidders who have 0 feedback and were new accounts. I don't think they were legit buyers.

Wow, someone wasn't watching the auction too close huh? The sad thing is someone had to be bidding against them to get it that high. This reminds me of the $300 Playstation box.

Wasn't it a PSP box when it first came out? Might of been another incident then but I do remember reading about that.
That's one thing with ebay, you need to read everything before buying. Ebay has so much scammers.

If I had one, I'd sell for $2000, buy a Mk2 and sell it for $4000, buy a Mk3 and sell it for $8000, and finally buy a 1dX.

Hmm, sounds like an awesome plan! *Goes to Craigslist to put it in motion*
