Hi! i have been MIA on here for quite a while - sooo busy -- but i could use some help on this photo. It's one my husband (who is my 2nd shooter) took at a recent wedding. I just cannot seem to get it right! It looks so greenish & washed out to me. I know he was shooting AWB, & several of his images in this spot have this look ( of course, this is after I have worked on it in PS, with little improvement) & I noticed soem of mine did as well. how would you correct this mess? An what would you recommend as far as camera setting to avoid this in the future?

Why this photo? It seems like most of the wedding party is looking to camera left in this shot. Is there a picture where they are looking at the camera?

It looks like it is about two stops overexposed to me. Also the white balance was set to: Manual white balance. I would expect that to be the reason for the color shift.

Looks like you need a new second shooter;)

Nice to see you back on the forum.

Yeah, the shot was definitely overexposed and... overprocessed? Just remember to keep things simple, and not to over-edit anything especially skin tones

Unless there's something I'm missing, this image is not worth fixing post-process-wise because the underlying photo is poorly taken. Half the group is looking at the main photographer. If that is the case it raises the question, why was he interfering with the main photographer's group shots ?

Just looks over exposed. If it was taken in 'raw' just bring it down a bit.:)

He was the second shooter for her.

They wanted one close up & one full length, so I took the closer one & my husband took this one.

Sorry for not responding to the replies; for some reason I didn't get any email notifications. I'll get on these tomorrow. Going to try beinging the exposure down on the original & see if I can improve it, then I may be calling on brianodom :)

Nice to be back too! Thanks!

Had a very quick play in lightroom 4, first is the editted, don't know if you think that is an improvement. done a bit of a crop as I think the building in the top right makes it too busy

Just a suggestion, all I can get is the small file and converting it to my workspace gives....... colorful results.. :P

There is way too much going on. Too many harsh colors and too much in-focus-foliage. This may be better in B&W or a sepia. It looks much better in either IMO. Take your photoshop ruler, click on top of the guy on the lefts head, drag it to the top of the right's... Image.. rotate canvas.. arbitrary.. click ok.. then crop it to a panoramic. Doing this fixes a lot of the little things, but it really needs some PS magic. If you want another look, inbox me too with the original and I'll see what I can do too..!

Yes, I have severe Equipment Deficiency. No, the pills don't fix it.

ISO 400, 1/60th SS. Looks like a classic green box exposure.
