Is it fair to rename the 5d mark III?

buyers remorse or reality sets in and it's time to pay the credit card bill?

If you look at the 5diii thread you will find there is no remorse among the people who can afford it. getting caught in the hype without the funds can be sad.

I assure you there are more for sale in stores.

I love mine! THE AF is great! I am loving the ISO options too. I moved from a 1DsII though...so if your a 5DMKII owner you might not be as happy.

I love the 24-105 and the MKIII...I didn't really have an issue with the 4200 and would do it again...I even bought it after the light leak crap.

I have spent way more on bicycle crap and got a LOT less.

No remorse here. This camera is far and above the best camera that I have ever owned.

I'm getting 1 later this year. I have two big weddings in Oct, so I might be getting it before that :P

I'm currently LOVING my 5D3

I'll most likely be moving to the 5DIII sometime in the next year. Hoping they'll get closer in price to the D800, otherwise I may go that way instead. I can't help but wonder why all of them are popping up either.

There's a lot of 5D2s and 5Ds up for sale compared to 5D3s. What should we call them? People buy things, people sell things. That's that.

They didn't really discredit it. They said it does exist, but that it shouldn't have any impact on your images.... And then the same breath they also basically admitted to having taken the time to fix it in future 5d3's, and they agreed to fix it for anyone who wants it fixed. That doesn't sound like discrediting to me, and I am one of the people who really doesn't care because I know it won't affect me.

The sad part though is that I will still have to send my camera in to get this fixed because if you ever intend to sell your 5d3 and you have one of these early serial numbers you will have to get this fix done at some point. Otherwise too many buyers that don't know how little it matters will freak and not buy from you, or use it to low-ball you, even ~3 years from now when the 5d4 comes out.

And I am also currently LOVING my 5D3 btw.

What does selling the 5D3 so soon have anything to do with renaming it?

I fully expect to send my 5D3 in for a cleaning and a check of the oil and alignment in about a year. CPS rocks and I have had nothing but great things from them. I wish I could send my Sigma len's to them....they might notice though!

Canon service I have no worries about....they go above an beyond every time.

As for selling it, I think I have only read about 1 guy selling it on PotN. I don't like the FM forums so I can't speak about there. People buy and sell all the time, which most of the time has nothing to do with quality.

This is probably more a manufactured issue that was discovered by measurebators than an issue that affected anyone in the field.

If you play on forums, the sky is falling. If you're out taking pictures, I'm sure you'll get a whole bunch of images that will make you smile.
