Anyone know what the difference between these two cards is? Other than the A91 vs X46 in the name, I can't spot anything. Yet there's like a $300 difference.

The X46 would be an older model. Either they've got the wrong model number on the correct description or the wrong picture and copy on the right model number. SanDisk's model numbers usually reflect the card speed with the last 2 digits (A91 vs. X46), not in a direct linear relationship, but at least relative. It's possible the X46 is (despite what they say on the SanDisk site) a 90 MB/s or UDMA6 (or both) card. However, either's overkill for a 5D3, especially for video.

For my shooting I'm happy with this

I get about 7-10 frames RAW (depends on ISO)

So, I'm planning on getting this

I have been always happy with this brand. I've used micro for my mobile Phones to SD for my digital cameras and they always served me well.

So, if speed is very critical, then you have to pay much extra for that.

I had a conversation with Fred Miranda about the new cards in the 5D3. In his testing the only card that would get more than 13 shots at full 6FPS before buffer slow down was the new 1000X Lexar. Even a 400x card (Lexar) will still get the same 13 shots as a 600X card. He also tested the UDMA7 Transcend 64GB card and it sill only got ~13 shots before the frame rate slowed. With the 1000X lexar he was getting about 19 shots. So if you need those extra shots in your initial burst for sports or maybe BIF then the expensive 1000x card may be worth it. Otherwise even the 600x card isn't worth it unless you care how fast it transfers to the computer as that is the only time the 600x is faster than a 400x even.
