Interesting shot. Part of me likes the composition, part of me thinks something is missing (something to give the image more content/character or a more refined "subject").

i agree with you. When i took this photo, i wish there was someone or something on the pier, i could have done something with PS but that wouldnt be right

Interesting composition, and stark enough to be abstract rather than 'scenic'. The subtle color contrast is very nice. Did you try cropping a bit off of the right side to offcenter the sun?

i like it as it is, subtle and calming. very nice. having something/someone on the pier would have muddied it up.
