We counted 34 new calves yesterday. So much fun to watch. Energetic one minute than down for the count. Eat, drink and be merry than sleepy is their motto.  Also got this picture of one of the large bull elk. Just starting to grow his new antlers. In his case size matters. But the magpie seems comfortable finding insects while perching on his head. Symbiotic relationships are amazing.  May there be peace

Apr 26, 2012 17:52 | #4 Just 3-4 weeks ago is when he shed the old ones. There are 4-5 bulls that hang out in one area and we tried to keep track of when they shed. But as with all wildlife that is a tricky thing to do. May there be peace
