These are not that bad! Especially for a first wedding, I'm impressed. Here are a few thoughts...

1) Too centered. I'd love to see the bride's dress going in the other direction and the couple being framed to the left to include more of the piano. Or keep the dress as is and frame them to the right. There is a chair to the left that is extremely distracting and I'm not a fan of those flowers, either. My eyes definitely go to the flowers before the couple. Putting the groom behind the bride like that is also a little strange, I would have had him stand a bit more to the brides right (left in the image).

2) If you had shuffled a bit to the right this shot would have been perfect. As it is, the groom is a little too hidden by the cake and you can't see the knife.

3 and 4) If you had shot 3 from 4s angle, it would be great. As it is now, the giant floating ball of flowers above their head is REALLY distracting. I'm spending too much time trying to figure out how this ball of flowers is floating like that and less time on the moment captured. But in image 4 those flowers are nicely framed and add to the image rather than take them away.

5) Good shot. Would love to not have his hand chopped in half, but that's the only thing that would bother me and it's a small thing.

6) Love the inclusion of the ceiling! Very nice! Only thing I would change is I would have shot wider and go their feet in the shot and pulled back a bit. But my personal pet peeve is cutting off feet in images and not everyone agrees with that.

thank you peacefire for the advice I never realized on #1 how their heads almost line up which does give it a very odd feeling. it was my first time posing people and I was very unsure of how to control posing them

trust me on #6 I wish I got their feet as well I have one that has their feet but they aren't really looking at each other or me since they were dancing and then they moved too close, gotta be faster on my feet.

I hope I have the opportunity to shoot another wedding soon

I'm no wedding photog, but what flash did you use? Something about the light displeases me.

Here's my take:

#1. Too centered. I would crop out the chair on the left.
#2. I would have shot this a little more from the right to get more of the hands and knife. The lighting looks flat and there's something about the processing that's a little off.
#3. I kinda like this one. The ball of roses above the father's head is a bit of a distraction though.
#4. They looked underexposed. Were you using fill flash? Again, the ball of roses above his head is unfortunate. The guy with his back towards the camera doesn't add to the celebratory scene. There's also a stray hand/finger pointed on the right side of the frame.
#5. I would crop this so that his arm/hand isn't showing. I would also brighten it up. Has potential though.
#6. I think I know where you wanted to go with this, but it's just not executed that well. Where is she looking? Are his eyes closed? Lighting is also uneven.

That said, I think these are decent enough photos that can be improved by better post processing, some cropping, etc.

Yeah, he looks like her dad or teacher.
