My apology if I am beating a dead horse here. I simply need cut through any senseless worrying & identify a real problem if indeed it exists.
Just got a new 60D & am testing things out. I thought it would be prudent to check for dead &/or hot pixels. I assume that the seat-of-the-pants test is to take a longer exposure at a low ISO (to reduce the incidence of noise) with the lens cap on. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Once I import the image into my RAW converter, at what level of magnification should any dead/hot pixels be visible in order to be a IQ problem? My point is to identify any pixel issue that would visibly compromise the quality of my images; as opposed to simply being anally retentive.
Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.
