Pictures to exe. I have seen several presentations with this and its feature packed and only costs a few Quid/ Bucks.

I have no experience with slideshow specific software but I have made many photo slideshows with video editing software. Import the photos, add music, define the fades between photos, pan and scan, burn to CD/DVD. Plus you have actual video editing capability as well. I use Sony Vegas but I'm sure Premiere can do the same thing, the free video editing software included with Macs and Windows might also do it.

Proshow Gold as as good as Proshow Producer for most people. I use Gold for wedding videos.

Yes, if you have LR you have a SlideShow feature.

'Course you have to buy/have/use LR first!

Not quite sure, but I think XnView has a option to save the slideshow as a movie. Check it out, it's freeware.

Thought I would comment about this. I recently attempted to use LR3.5 (PC version) to handle the slideshow task. Meh, after taking the time to make the slideshow, I then attempted to add music to it. Found out you can only embed one song... not multiple tracks. Not good.

About Proshow... I tried the trial version of the pro and gold versions. I really liked how the Pro version had a very nice wedding option through the wizard. I was able to embed several tracks and the slideshow option had an auto to spread out you images to cover the entire sound track... i.e. 136 images spread nicely over about 12 minutes of audio. The only thing is when I tried to burn the video to DVD on High Quality, it did not work. I could not play it on any device. I read somewhere that it has to be in Standard Quality mode. I sure hope with more experimenting I can figure it out... also I hope it is in HD quality, too. I'm gonna play with it a bit more before commiting to buying the pro version. Yes, the Gold is ok for general purpose stuff but I like the total control from the Pro version. Heck, I suppose one can buy the Gold first then upgrade to Pro later.

HTML works pretty good... wont work in a dvd player tho. photoshop has a built in gallery export feature too..
