Finally... one of the boys in full breeding plumage.

As the thread title says, finally an American Goldfinch male in full breeding plumage. Most of the other males around here are about 75% of the way there. Should not be long now.

Beautiful! I see them while walking my dog along the Humber River here in Toronto, but I've never photographed one. This morning instead of birds, we were treated to a coyote that my dog scared off.
