That's NOT sensor dust..... I believe they might be gnats. This image will give you an idea just how thick they were down at the harbour the day before yesterday.

IMAGE: http://harveyg.smugmug.com/Nature/Waterfowl/i-Dn9HFMZ/0/O/2012-04-250002P.jpg

I actually went down there hoping some terns had arrived. No such luck. I've been told they arrived yesterday. I'm either a day late or a day early.

However, our resident Goldeneye hen was around, albeit not very close to the lens. She's very spooky and all I ever end up with are large crops.

Thanks for stopping by.

LOL! Looks like my windshield after my trip to Florida. Great shots, the Goldeneye hen's at the angle I get most often with the Buffleheads.

Gnats make me crazy(er). Even Deep Woods Off won't keep them away here, nasty buggers.

ah, the loveable mallard. Very nice.

I'm so jealous - I've been dying to be back in Cobourg. Haven't been there since the late 80's shortly before my grandparents left there for Niagara. I can only visit, virtually, wish google streets. :/

Gret shots Harv. Uh oh, I had forgotten about Florida, and I hate those buggers. In fact, anything tiny that flies and bites seem to like me!

They look like gnats, yes. Horrible things. The Mallard doesn't seem bothered by them though, in fact he looks happy. Good shots.

Good looking shots Harvey... I especially like the little Goldeneye... I have really enjoyed the twenty and thirty degree mornings in the woods which have taken care of the "gnats", skeeters and black flies... for awhile. :(

Thanks a lot, everyone. Sorry it took me so long to get back to responding to your posts but motocross race season has arrived and I have been very busy shooting the races and processing images.

All that said, I really appreciate you all stopping by and leaving your comments.

:)

I really like the water drops on #1, despite the gnats.
