Another tripod question

For $55, will that hold my 5D and 100mm L? Or should I just get something a bit better?

It'll hold as long as you don't have to deal with wind or uneven surfaces. Did you notice the max height was less than 4 feet? That'll put your eyepiece (without battery grip) at around 4-1/2' or a little less.

The 5D & 100L weigh about 4 pounds combined. That tripod setup is rated for 5 pounds. I wouldn't do it.

I caught that right after posting the thread. Probably a little shorter than what I want.

Edit: Yeah, you're right Mark. Looks like I'll just spend the extra money and get something that can support some weight. I'll probably get a 70-200 2.8 II at some point too, so no since getting a light duty tripod like that.

Get something that will support 2-3 times the weight of the heaviest setup you'll be using.

You should get something better.
