Hot off the UPS truck.
Thanks to Adorama and Helen for the great Canon refurb service they offer. The lens I just received was manufactured in September 2011. A very quick run through seems to show the lens operating as it should. Of course, a more meaningful test will come.

I would expect it to be perfect, I don't think I've seen one report of a refurbished product from Adorama being bad.
