Depends what you're using it for. Sports tracking, edge to the 1d2. Better build, FPS, and wider FOV. In most any other case, I would take the 50d. Has MA, larger LCD, live view, better ISO/resolution. And it is nicer having a smaller frame + pop-up flash.

Birds, bugs, foliage/ground and sky are the only constants--you'll see them no matter where you go. If you don't have a macro and birding/telephoto lens, what's wrong with you? :p
