Enjoy your PB&J&Cockroach sandwich then.

You can get a 2x II for $200 used, and you won't really see any difference on the 70-200 II. That would be a different matter if you had a 400mm 2.8 IS II. For that extra $200, you could have gotten that 82mm Fader ND.

I think your analogy is off... the purpose of eating is for sustenance and enjoyment. A rotten sandwich provides neither. I suspect (although I am no bird expert) Peterson and Audubon both function as bird identifying apps. iBirds may be better, but then the analogy would be more like "You have a Scion tC and a Acura TSX. You have the opportunity to buy a Mercedes S class. Now do I really NEED the S class?" Nope! Will | WilliamLiuPhotography.com

If it's not too rotten, you won't get sick--minor bellyache, and the taste will be off.

Better build, FPS, and wider FOV. In most any other case, I would take the 50d. Has MA, larger LCD, live view, better ISO/resolution. And it is nicer having a smaller frame + pop-up flash. ah ok, ill keep the 50d then. was hoping iso was better. one day though.. i like the build on the 1d and would go good with the 70-200 for event shootings.

Which is gonna be, Kenko or Canon?! The Kenko MC4 (which I heard is actually better than the Kenko Pro) is about $130 on eBay. The Pro300 is about $180 on eBay. I guess if you want weather sealing, go with the Canon. Otherwise, I have been pretty happy with my Kenko. Will | WilliamLiuPhotography.com

Not everyone here is a car person--and those models are completely localized to this region. Not everyone can relate to that example. Everyone understands food--tunafish, PB&J, and Roast Beef are available most anywhere in the world. I win. i just had cereal with sour milk....
