Most of the time I do believe the media. But then again I'm neither a conspiracy nut or Chris Brown fan :p

TERRIBLE!

F-No! The rates I get in the city trump the online prices. I would only rent online if i needed the big primes as i dont have access to a place here in the city that carries them. Everything else needed for event photography is easily attained at dirt cheap prices, meaning they wont impact your overall pricing for shooting an event.

Adorama doesn't even rent the 300mm 2.8 IS?

duh-oh. I had "neither" and "or" paired in a sentence for a few short minutes. My old English teachers would have been aghast :p:p

They have that one and it seems they just added a 400 2.8 IS. Don't remember seeing one as an option. Only the 300 was available from my memory.

You mean to tell me you believe everything the media says? Just because they say it came from a police report doesn't mean they twisted the story.

Obviously CB is a horrible person for doing such a thing, but I'm just saying in GENERAL, if some macho woman comes up to you, starts a fight, and beats you to a pulp it isn't OK to hit her back because she's a woman? There are men that are weaker than women that can get beaten up by them. Now hitting a woman is not alright in my books if she has not done something that can seriously harm you, that goes for anyone, the only time I find it alright to hit someone back is in self defense and your life is at risk, or if avoidable just run away.

Forgot I ignored half of your statement. While there may be bigger females out there, one of the benefits of being a fit male is that the vast majority of women are not going to be stronger. Unless a woman pulled a knife on me, restraining is the harshest reaction I would take. There is no shame in making a tactical retreat from an enraged woman--not that I'd know. I was probably 9-10 years old the last time I got into a fight with a girl.

Chris Brown is very fit and muscular. His well-being was never at risk.

Not too bad then. The 300 2.8 is very capable with a 1.4x TC. With a 2x it's still plenty sharp, but AF is SLOW.

If they only had one copy of the lens to go around, I can see how that might be a problem. Do you happen to remember the rental price for the 300 2.8? With a $4500 retail price (mk1, or $7000 for mk2), I'm curious as to the rate charged. Compared to smaller lenses, I'd imagine the odds of being damaged would be higher.

Yes, that's true. I mean if it's avoidable I would personally avoid hitting any woman even if she hit me because once you lay that hand on her your credibility goes WAY down. Last time I got into a fight with a girl was a screaming match in 2nd grade  other than that I haven't ever layed a hand on one.

The only girl I ever semi-fought was my sister, and I don't think that counts  I also squashed a girl while I was in a sumo-suit, but I was doing martial arts at the time. When you're talking about kids, girls and boys are pretty much equally strong at the same age.

Nice! How do you like the bokeh compression vs 85L’s compression?
