M11x is discontinued? I've been away from the gaming notebook scene too long.

They're not releasing an r4, as reported a bit over a month back. So it's essentially discontinued, even though the r3's are still being sold. The m11x's 540m scores about half as high as the Clevo's 650m.

Don't care how many HDD bays a laptop has. Overall size, cpu, and gpu are important to me--most everything else isn't.

15.6" is too big for carrying around. Even 14" is pushing it. This Clevo will destroy the Alienware M11x R3's.

ohh I mean for me... I like to get the 15.6" since I ditched my desktop, so basically it will be the only one I will use for everything.

I need at least 2 HDD... so I want 15.6" :D

Took a couple of test shots of my dead pine with my new 100-400. These are shot raw, imported into Aperture and converted to jpeg, no PP besides the default Aperture settings.

Interesting, I thought you were shooting Nikon based on your avatar.

Just plug your laptop into your monitor/keyboard when you're at work/home? I could get a laptop with a 15-17" screen, but I'd still plug them into my larger IPS monitor.

I used to have the original M17x, M15x and M17xR2. Ever visit notebookreview.com?

I wanna do that too... a 30" IPS monitor.

I currently have a 23" but my current laptop is too slow, and it really slows down a lot when I am editing on the big monitor.

But of course. Having multiple screen names makes things confusing

What laptop have you got right now?

I love having a 11" laptop. easy to carry with one hand, goes everywhere with me... having one super-all-in-one definitely beats having a weak portable laptop and a powerful desktop replacement (17")

I have a 2 year old 14" i3 with 6GB ram laptop... its not terribly slow but for some reason when I connect it to the external monitor it slows down a lot.

I rarely bring my laptop everywhere except from house to store... when I go on vacation it stays in the room all the time.
