I can tell you right now that it's nowhere near as sharp as the mk2, and contrast is horrible on the edges when shifted. Beggers can't be choosers when getting into tilt-shift. Even the crap lenses are expensive.

Oh, and no autofocus. That certainly turns off a lot of potential owners :lol:

If the effect is something you want, then paying for a tilt-shift isn't a waste...

I know about the AF, it's a tradeoff, but it would allow me to really think about photos then instead of pointing and shooting. Contrast can always be fixed post though, so editing I'm not worried about.

Now sharpness may be the issue. If I were to get a TS lens it would be the MK I or the 45mm.

Take that photo with a phone? :lol:

You mean 85L II, Manfrotto tripod, Manfrotto ball head, 580EXII, remote switch or the battery grip? :p:p

It never left... once I get a UWA I was planning on saving up for an 85 again.. the point of the 70-200 was to make sure I have it and I was planning on getting an 85 again if I sold it. I never sold it cause I didn't like it :lol:

I was thinking of selling the gitzo for a CF manfrotto since my AL Gitzo is too heavy, but Markins ballhead FTW!

Sadly, there doesn't appear to be a dedicated thread for the 24 TSE mk1. If there is, my 5-6 searches didn't uncover it.

Start one. ;)

I know, but I want a CF tripod. Most I can get for my tripod is $400, if not possibly $450 if I somehow market it well enough. That being said, I wouldn't want to waste more money on something that can perform the same for $300 less. But I'm waiting on selling it, too much of a hassle right now.

The truth! No, I serisouly didn't want to rid of the 85, but I was looking for more distance covered. So for now I am looking at zooms. Once I get another zoom I'm saving back up for the 85.

Don't, he'll just sell the 70-200 for an 85L and 17-40L :lol::lol:

Nahhhh, although that would be a good return investment... getting a 70-200 for an 85, and getting a 17-40 + 85 for a 70-200 :lol:

Either way my combo by the end of the summer will include this lens and an 85L.

When you only have one lens, you don't improve your set by including redundancies :lol: I'm going to laugh when you end up with a 70-200 II, 85L, and 100L macro... then maybe a 135L :cool:
