You're going to get ugly flare with a shot like that with almost any lens...

An UWA shooting into the sun at that angle.. just not a good idea.

Not as bad as 11-16!! You can literally see almost every reflection from each element. I know 11-16 has a great rep and all but meh, too much flare problem.

holy sheebus, that's nasty at the bottom.

Exactly. Bottom is heka ugly...

They sue you for their money back? :p:lol:

MARKINS!!!! I would love a CF Gitzo but I should invest in lenses, if anything I would downgrade my Gitzo to a CF Manfrotto.

He was still taking pictures, and had something to show for it. A little cropping would save that photo, mostly.

After your ONLY body failed, you would just be wandering around taking photos with your cell phone, with a sheepish grin on your face :D

looking at that particular shot... it was taken at 155mm f/2.8, I think I should sell of my camera and get a 70-200mm again

Screw that. No contracts, nothing. So they can’t really sue me anyway...
Plus, I only charged them $600 :)

worst comes to worst I may just borrow my friends T3i. I'm in no way renting a body, screw that.

I'd feel bad taking wedding photos with the same entry-level body that "uncle bob" has, over in the grooms section.

few months ago? it was nearly a year ago. I only had 60D, 11-16, Sigma 50mm and 135L (yes, I risked with one body)
I got a whooole lot more gear now. It’s what a decent wedding shoot would require..

Worst flare I've ever gotten with a 24-70.

Most wedding photographers charge a helluva lot more than that. The woman who did my sisters wedding charged like $5k

Wow, so I can only imagine what can happen in one summer. That's pretty crazy though, I gotta get on the ball and start rolling with wedding photography.
