I posted the original image two months ago when I shot it, but I've applied some post processing techniques I've been developing since then. I think it is an improvement.

Nice detail on the moon . What optics did you use to capture this shot with ? I notice a edge of CA around the moon .

Thanks guys.

The optics were my sigma lens through the 26mm eyepiece on my telescope (details in my sig). The misaligned optics between the camera's lens and the telescope's eyepiece are what caused that weird effect where the terminex isn't a proper circular curve.

In the PS RAW importer I reduced the exposure a touch to -15, brightness & contrast down to 0 each, clarity up to 100. Then played with Shadows/Highlights, touched up brightness/contrast slightly after that, then USM to sharpen it up. Then cropped of course. There might have been another adjustment in there, I can't remember exactly what I did at 4am last night :D

Oh, yeah, I knew what you were saying, I was also pointing out that me hand-holding the camera lens to an eyepiece instead of using it as a prime focus caused that unique curvature. I actually hadn't noticed the CA until you pointed it out, but I wasn't looking. Now I will be in my future shots thanks to the feedback :D
