Actually, this setup is faster than 2XTC III alone, hence I prefer this combo for BIF.

My Gear: 6D, 7D, EOS-M w EF-M 22 f2 STM and EF-M 18-55 f3.5-5.6 IS STM, 17-40L f4, 24-70L f2.8, 100 f2.8 non-IS macro, 70-200L f/4 IS, 400L f5.6,, Canon 1.4x II TC, Canon Speedlite 430 EX II, Better Beamer. I notice in your signature you have the 500f4. I am curious why you did not use the 500 and one of the 1.4 extenders? Are you seeing better results with the 300 f2.8 with twin 1.4ext vs. 500f4 with single 1.4 ext? Sorry for all the dumb questions, just trying to learn. My dream lens is a 300 f2.8 or 500 f4, just trying to decide before I hit the lottery.
