Just a couple of "macro" shots of my cat as he "helped" me do those drop balancing shots the other day :)
Both shots uncropped.

I should have known it was a black cat helping - my helper is also black! Here (external link) she was helping unpack the Sigma 105 :D

Love the eyeball detail in #2

Quite startling but makes me want to see the whole cat now if you could oblige (taken with macro lens of course).

Think this still qualifies as a macro shot- look at the top of the pic. Actually did this as a reprisal pic to one of those "I hate macros lets see pics of your pets" threads on Dpreview- the joke was on me -no one noticed. :D

WoW, what a group of shots, the three of them, the eye shots is fantastic.

You give me an idea to go shooting in my parents house. They have 7 cats , 4 canaries, two zebra birds, a parrot, a tortoise and an aquarium ... Tens of eyes ....

Regards

Thanks all, there was actually a cat toy where the fly is- was trying to get a mid-air shot of the cat and failing as usual :)

Thanks TammieO and Marie- I'll pass on the comments to "Zorro" our cat (explanation for the name- is whenever you are looking for him , he's always standing right behind you)

Thanks Bruce- have to admit the cat eye pics were a slight reprisal- the cat kept bumping my tripod when I was doing the water drop shots.
