A super moon is going to occur May 5. This is the closest it will be to the earth this year.

The moon will officially become full Saturday (May 5) at 11:35 p.m. EDT. And because this month's full moon coincides with the moon's perigee — its closest approach to Earth — it will also be the year's biggest.

Cant wait to try out my just acquired 100-400mmL

here it was cloudy and raining.

Don't worry. The 'Supermoon' was just 0.6% bigger than next month's full moon (external link). Here is a simulation -
