Is this any good?

if you want fotodiox, you may want to check out their EZ-Pro line that open up like an umbrella. the one you listed you have to assemble each time if I'm not mistaken.

The westcott apollo is what? $130?

you can get a qbox24, but the price is similar, however more people believe it is a superior product compared to the apollo.

Another option is this (external link).

What I like is the double rib construction.
I have a similar octa from phottix but it has single ribs and they bind quite easily.

I have the iShoot Octa 32" softbox. I was shooting with it outside once and did not use sandbags (I know) and the wind blew it over. Now it's a bit crooked but still works. Wonder what would have happened with a less sturdy Phottix.

I have 4 of those - easy to setup and take down...
I always sandbag when outside
