A couple of shots from a hike along Sims Creek, near Julian Price Park along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The second one reminded me of an Ent from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

I only carried my 55-250 'kit' lens. I was a bit disappointed. I think the first one would have benefited from a ND filter.
