I have a shoot tomorrow, just scheduled and I don't have time to wait for white vinyl to come from a photo supplier. Other problem is I live and a small town and the nearest big city is a about a 160 mile round trip. I have access to Walmart (they have a white vinyl by contact but it has some sort of design that might not show but might), Kmart, Home Depot and Lowes in town here. If I go to the "big" city I have access to a large chain craft store.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I could use in a pinch? I was also thinking about using tile board and plexiglass but I just don't know. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

How big do you need? Only things that come to my mind are large table cloths, waterproof sheets and shower curtains - all from Walmart.

Got a sign shop in the area?

Go get some stuff off the roll before it goes on the cutter.
54" wide by as long as you want.

Some might even have 72" wide stuff.

Phil Fernandez aka PhilF (a regular on POTN) uses hard faced insulation board on a lot of his stuff with awesome results. Available at Home Depot in 4x8 foot sheets.

I use white vinyl wall board, it's flexible so you can roll it up, cost less than $20 per, and is available at a hardware store, as was stated by JPL, in 4x8 sheets. I bought it instead of buying the $100 + vinyl train to go with my hilite.
edit: here you go, it's textured on one side and smooth on the other, although the texture is much finer than the image makes it out to be: http://www.lowes.com …eq&rel=nofollow&cId=PDIO1 (external link)
I have two sheets of it rolled up in the corner that are great for white seamless with toddlers, or you can use it instead of white seamless paper for tabletop stuff.

Home Depot do white vinyl roller blinds that can be cut to size. I bought a few for our basement and the largest is over 6ft wide and around 7ft long. They can be had in various thickness/weights.
