I was thinking of upgrading my DPP from the 5d2 to the latest one available with the 5d3.

Has anyone else done this yet? Any problems? Does the new lens optimizer work well?

Thanks!

Lens Optimizer worked great with a 10-22mm shot on a 450D-so older supported bodies do not seem to be a problem. NONE of my EF lenses made the list, the 10-22mm is it for me so far.

Cool. I will have to give it a try with my 10-22 and 16-35II shots. :D

Just update my DPP from Canon website.

I use DPP if I want to edit something quick; rather 'import' into LR.

Canon 5D3 + Zoom (EF 17-40L, 24-105L & 28-300L, 100-400L II) & Prime (24L II, 85L II, 100L, 135L & 200 f/2.8L II; Zeiss 1,4/35)

I have tried the latest DPP on 5D2 files and they work great. As mentioned by others, Digital Lens optimizer is pretty good. The HDR feature also works reasonably well even on a single image.

I've been using it with my 5Dc and 40D and it seems to work fine for me. 70-200 2.8L IS is the only lens I have that's in the database though. HDR works good too but I need to get better at using it.

DPP to date has been very good about backwards compatibility. I have processed original Rebel images without issue.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Works pretty good. The DLO completely eliminates all chromatic aberration artifacts from my 16-35 and really adds some clarity throughout the image.

HDR feature is slower than donkey poop. They must be downsampling the image after processing the full file, instead of processing an already downsized image like Photomatix does.
