I bought a Sterling Tek for my T1i, and it did not hold a charge as well as the OEM battery. I ended up buying another Canon. Lesson learned. Now I have two Canon batteries for my 60D (the dealer threw in the second one when I traded my T1i with an extra battery).
That said, to Shutterwolf: The LP-E6 battery for the 60D is typically good for 1000 or more shots, so don't rush in if you don't have to. It has a much longer life than the Rebel batteries.
I'm considering trying this one... not going to expect top notch quality, but I really like the assurance of always having a battery. The kind of stuff I do for fun around here, I never know when I'm going to need to grab my camera. It could very especially happen when the battery is on the charger, and the camera is temporarily useless. We have several dogs around here, so with my luck, I would be charging the camera, and they would start doing something picture worthy and I would be S.O.L. Eventually, I will get a Canon spare, but till then, an aftermarket should give me at least a descent backup.
That, or maybe I will get lucky and find a used 60D here with 2 batteries in my price range when i get my money.
