Hola, I recently purchased fotoquote to assist me in my licensing (I recommend you guys get it!) and I have a question about specific licensing sizes.

I'm sure fotoquote has it in their infobase but I couldn't find it with the extremely short time I've been using it. Do any of you know specific usage sizes for:

- Spot
- 1/4 screen
- 1/2 screen
- Full screen

These sizes reflect web usage so I'm assuming a full screen size is 1280x1024 which is a standard size now for screens. If I go that direction the sizes would be:

- Spot = ?
- 1/4 = 320x256
- 1/2 = 640x512
- Full = 1280x1024

Does this look right? I'm not sure what size spot is but it feels like the sizes shown above seem off to me. Any advice would be greatly apreesh'd!

Don't have an answer to your questions, but I was curious if fotoquote provides pricing guidelines for licensing photos for personal use as well as commercial use (for the different sizes).

It does to a certain extent. Basically, there's information that covers pieces that you would sell as fine art and breaks down the pricing based off it's uniqueness and how it reflects each client's needs. It also gives you a range of prices to sell a 8x10 upwards to a 30x40 print.

From what I see though is, the majority of the information and pricing is based off commercial usage. It does break that down even further to individual products like greeting cards and even stamps! It's quite robust.

After some discussion, I concluded that I would base the license off a 1280x1024 full screen and calculate from there. I'm still not sure how large a spot use size would be but at least I have something to work with!
