...but now I see an auction in my country selling a 200mm. F1.8L for 2000 euro´s.
Is it just me or is this pretty cheap?

I know this is the king of bokeh, but how is the IQ?
2000 is too expensive for me right now. But if I could sell it for more if I don't want it anymore, why not?

that's cheap for that lens.

don't know about the re-selling thing, i buy lenses to use, not to sell.

Seems quite cheap, however the focal range is so different there is no comparison between either.

Personally I will never ever ever ever let my 85LII go, and going to a 200L wouldn't help me over my 85L.

I think you need to determine what fixed focal length you need, regardless of how the deal is on it IMHO?

Link or pics?

Make sure you are not getting scammed. Condition of the lens is really important. I was looking for a 200 f1.8 once and found one for 2000 but it was in rough shape. I wasn't sure that thing would hold it for a few years. Canon will not fix a broken 200 1.8 so be carefull.

that does seem a little 'cheap' for the 200L.

there's one for sale on my local Craigslist for $3800 right now (i don't know the guy nor am i trying to help the sale) and i thought that was a 'good price' for such a rare lens.

on the other hand, i do love my 85L though but i don't think i'd find much use with the 200L myself. :)
